racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc are not tolerated

respect people's pronouns, and if you do not know them, default to neutral ones such as they/them

no doxxing

avoid sharing/collecting non-public information about people without their consent

additionally, privacy should be expected by default. if this is not the case, for example if a channel is being logged to a website, it should be mentioned where new users can easily see, such as the channel topic. do not share chatlogs without consent
